Besides the traditional special events such as the master-classes held by Neil Jordan and Dario Argento, the Zombie Day & Night parade, Belgian Movie Day or the Japanimation section –, Brussels IFFF will screen some of the most highly anticipated genre titles of the year, from the opening film, Byzantium (directed by Neil Jordan), to the films in the twisted and bloody compettion (American Mary, Chained, Stitches) and finally, to the closing film, Stoker (directed by Park Chan-wook).

6 international feature films will be competing for the much coveted Silver Melies.
