WHERE CAN I BUY SEASON TICKETS FROM?
Between 09:00 and 21:00, tickets can be bought from the INFO POINT in the Central Square.
WHERE CAN I FIND ACCOMMODATION?
Besides the guesthouses in the area, the best option is camping in a tent – our camping has showers and eco toilets. The camping opens in the first day of the festival, at 9 AM. For more details, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW CAN I REACH AND LEAVE BIERTAN WITHOUT A CAR?
Between Mediaș and Biertan there are regular bus trips. For additional details, go to the „Transport” tab in the FESTIVAL INFO section.
Throughout the festival there will be a special bus coming from Mediaș.
In the last day of the festival there will be a bus going to Mediaș railway station. Please book your seat at the INFO POINT!
IS THERE A PARKING LOT?
Cars can be parked in the special parking-lot by the camping. The parking ticket must be placed in the windshield. The organizers are not responsible for any possible damage: scratches, collisions. Parking in the Central Square is forbidden. Please use the adjacent streets.
IS THERE A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX?
There is a special place for valuables at the „La Țăruș” bar. Objects are sealed and, in order to unseal them, take some out and seal them back one has to pay the fee again. Organizers are not responsible for the safety of the objects left in the cars or the tents.
WHERE CAN I CHARGE MY PHONE AND MY LAPTOP?
You can find sockets at „La Țăruș”, but please use them no longer than 30 minutes per session.
WHERE CAN I EAT?
BREAKFAST – Basically, the guesthouse and the owners of the houses you are lodged in offer breakfast for a fee. For the camping residents, there is the non-stop shop with pastries, milk products and hotdogs. 100 meters away there is a well-supplied supermarket (cold cuts, cheese, fruits and vegetables).
LUNCH & DINNER – Throughout the festival, the Central Square will host a Traditional Fair with places to eat. Attention! The fair closes at 10 PM.
WHERE ARE THE SCREENINGS?
The festival has three venues: Karloff Auditorium, Ion Hobana Studio, the Melies main open-air and the Vertigo open-air.
WHAT CAN ONE DO BESIDES WATCHING FILMS?
A great place for history aficionados, Biertan has a gorgeous fortified church protected by the UNESCO. The surrounding areas are also great for shorter (1h) or longer (6h) trips by foot or by car.
For those who do not like to get up early, there is a special offer: laying out in the sun and the horror shower!
Throughout the festival, you will be able to attend our specialized workshops or take part in various interactive cultural projects.
The "Full Moon" bar in the Central Square awaits you with deliciously scary cocktails.
For the „agoraphobics”, there are a couple of pubs in the village, one downtown, one next to Vertigo, and a winery inside Unglerus restaurant.
Last but not least, the Traditional Fair awaits you daily between 9 AM and 10 PM with bio and handmade products, sweets, traditional delicacies and "Full Moon" memorabilia.
WHAT ARE THE NIGHT ACTIVITIES?
The only place left open after the midnight screening is the "La ţăruş" pub near the camping. ATTENTION! Access is restricted to those who have acquired a seasonal ticket.
IS THERE AN ATM IN BIERTAN?
There is only one, operated by CEC, but access is restricted to only a few hours every day.
